I have a number of these curtain openers and am very satisfied with them. I have rail curtains and two sets of openers, one in the bedroom and another in the living room.
In the living room, I have two sets of curtains and can operate them independently.
I bought the hub so I can integrate it with Siri and just tell Siri to “open the curtains in the bedroom” or “open the curtains in the back of the living room”. They can also be used with automations such as closing when brightness reaches a certain level (needs hub) or at specific hours. You can also have them open in the morning to wake up. There are three speeds and one of them is ultra silent (and slow), which works great to wake up in the morning.
After about 3 months of usage (opening and closing about once per day in average) there is about 50% battery left, so I guess that they will last 5-6 months in total. To charge them, I have a long USB cable so I won’t even have to remove them from the rails (as to not have to recalibrate). I am considering purchasing the solar panels for “continuous and permanent” power.
It’s also possible to just pull the curtains a bit and the opener will open/close it.
Sometimes there is a bit of lag between sending the command and the response of the curtain (4-5 seconds), but since there is rarely any urgency in closing them, there’s no issue.
The curtain comes with three adapters for the rails to fit different sized rails, so it was just a matter of finding the correct one and installing them. After that it’s just a small setup process in the app, with calibration. Could not use the magnets for alignments as my rails are curved and do not seem to work, but that does not seem to have an impact and the curtains close properly.
Overall, I am very happy with the product.

A few weeks ago i purchased the SwitchBot Curtain 3 and would like to share my thoughts for anyone considering buying it.
It works and closes our bedroom curtuins with ease.
The silent mode, it is exacly that; silent. I takes some time to open the curtains, but does it o so silently!
Battery Life: After a weeks of the curtains opening and closing every day the energy levels are still at 82%!.
Installing was easy. The new magnetic strip ensures that the curtains stop at the exact spot every time.
The only thing to note is that – if you’re using the Smart Hub and multiple curtains- the signal strength sort off forces you to choose a place somewhere in the middle. I have purchased another hub to change that.
I am still waiting on full functionality with my Homey Pro, (currently it cannot detect the curtains) but that’s more likely a Homey Pro compatibility issue which will probably be sorted out soon enough.

I have never setup a smart anything and these were very easy to install. I connected them to my mini hub as well as alexa and they worked amazingly! These solar chargers are a must, so your motors are always ready to do the job!

I always wanted to sleep in a dark room, but wake up naturally from the Sun. Not at 5 a.m., but when I want. So, I went through dozen devices reviews, and all of them were loud, like this “bzzzzz” sound. Except this one. I enabled the new QuietDrift mode, set the schedule, and it works like a charm – it opens my curtain ABSOLUTELY SILENT! It takes couple of minutes in this mode, but it’s ok for morning alarm. Also I connected solar battery and got unlimited usage without charging efforts. So, this device solved the problem I wanted to solve without any compromises. Love it, 5/5.

Requiere un hub que se vende por separado para integrarlo a Alexa, sino sólo se puede usar mediante su app. Es demasiado grande/grueso por lo que debe haber bastante espacio entre la pared y el riel de la cortina para que no se atore.

Very misleading. Switchbot hub is yet another device to purchase, and this device is not compatible with Alexa or Google home without it. I wouldn’t have bothered buying it otherwise
